Our research focuses on the analysis of individual and environmental factors associated with adjustment problems in youth. We intend to increase the understanding of the mechanisms associated with the development of behavioral problems and adaptive functioning. By doing so, we aim to identify intervention strategies that could optimize the developmental trajectory of young people. Our research integrates knowledge from various disciplines, including developmental psychology, psychoeducation, and criminology. We value translational research, as this indicates that our findings have tangible applications in practical settings.
